My little Germany

Welcome to my little Germany, model train HO world. It's only a third or fourth finished, as you can see. I am a Marklin® train FAN, and collector. I also convert HO Marklin Locomotives for Digital use. And Landscaping to make it look fascinatingly real is another one of my specialties. So keep looking, and a lot of fun.

PC based train controll

All train activity is computer controlled, I use Railware's Windows based program, which allows me to run them manualy, or fullautomatically, or a flexible mixture of both. In the begining is used the 6021 CU (Central Unit) by Marklin, and the Interface is Marklin's 6051, but I reached it's limitations very quickly, and purchased a the "IB" made by Uhlenbrock.

With Marklin's feed back modules 6088s the computer is continually being informed of where each train is, so it can controll speed, track route, signals for each train individually. Since the Marklin Interface 6051 is to slow for the demand of feed back needed to run all trains, I have added the Railware direct-touch modules. The Direct S88 is connected to the Parallel port, and transmits to the PC with 19200 Bps.

Digital Decoders The digital Decoders that I use for the locomotives range from Marklin's Delta (60331) to Marklin's (6090x) with load controll and acc/decceleration delay. To LokSound® decoders, and Digitaltrain® Decoders 16080. The LokSound decoders are unbelievable. They make steam engine sounds, shuffel Coal, let up steam, activate the waterpump, while it is sitting at the station. When it is ready to take off, it whistels shortly, and then puff, puff, puff of she goes in the rythem of the wheels.

It offers: high frequency 16KHz motor control which is also usable for Faulhaber Motors. Alternativly frequencies (stepless adjustable) are available from 30-150 Hz for traditional Motors.

Railware Software The Future: "PC-monitored Model train layouts and operations" Unique through complete event and object control. This means you can run your trains half- or fully automatically. Every thing can be all over at the same time, since manuel or automatic operations are with out limiting static definitions, and exhibit an endless flexibility.
The PC will become your playing partner. ... no need for programming of difficult operations instructions, schedules, or step procedures and Macro languages. The system is build in modular components.

Sound Decoders The Sound decoder GE70 can be used for all Gauges N through HO engines. The max load for the Speaker is 1W. The GE70 offers 14, 28 or 128 Speed Steps. Connectivity to Reed contacts Hall, full addressable from 1 through 10240 and main track ‘on-the-fly' to be programmed.
